I recently gave up an age old belief that a mobile is only for making calls and sms, and graduated to the world of smartphones. A gift from my ma on passing my CA exams, it took a few days to adjust but it's amazing how much i was missing out on.
The smartphone is not just a phone it actually is a power in your hand, it's a dictionary an encyclopedia and the best part a map when needed and still better you hear a song u like and don't know the name just hold ur phone to it and it tells u everything about the song.
Ever since the new phone i haven't touched the computer as everything i need is here.
I must also thank my friend aniesha who is a seasoned smartphone user who helped me set up my mail and other apps on the phone and I'm now happily a part of 'planet of the apps'.
Ever since this has come it's fun to get into arguements as u can quietly google on the topic and when the opponent thinks he has you on the mat because of (at times) superior debating techniques or other reason(read abilty to shout) you can quietly bring out the google result and then have the 'i told u' smile.
But it's amazing how far technology has come along, i still remember the first phone i had bought a good old siemens almost more than 10 years back, which was a neibhours envy and owners pride. Call rates for incoming was hidiously high and we used to cut the call and call back from landline, and today we get paid for picking calls.
Oh and before i go i must share onething with my friends who don't wanna buy a smartphone, give in to the devil once and i can assure you won't regret.

Wonder!!!
I've been wondering whole day about what to write for today since it is my second day and I didn't want to disappear in one day, amongst all the wondering I thought of writing something about the word "wonder" itself.
What is wonder, the oxford dictionary defines it as "a feeling of amazement and admiration caused by something beautiful, unexpected, or unfamiliar." But the word is a lot more than that, when a small baby is taken out on the road for the first time and you see him watching everything with big eyes as if trying to take in every minute detail, that is wonder. Everytime a child reads or is read to something he wonders but often we mix it up with imagination but these are two different things, we wonder about many things when we are young and everything is challenged by our minds.
But somewhere in growing up we lose this "wonderfull" faculty of our mind and accept the things as they are no questions raised whatsoever, we are told certain things in our educational things and we try and mug them up and as a result they are what we believe in. I read somewhere that to be a philosopher all one needs is the faculty of "wonder", but how many philosophers do you see around you then I guess it is not as common a faculty as we think. They say "wonder is the seed of knowledge" and isn't that so true? It is only because newton wondered why the apple fell on his head do we have the "Theory of Gravity" if he to had accepted the fact that an apple is supposed to fall after it ripens we wouldn't have known Gravity. Wonder is the starting point of everything mankind has achieved, but as the knowledge increases wonder recedes.
When was the last time you actually wondered about something my friend? In our country there are so many rituals we are passed on to by our which we plainly follow, but do we ever think about the relevance of the ritual do we ever wonder as to why are we doing this. What stops us then, it can't be the fear of God because if the fear was there then there wouldn't have been certain things happenings around us.
So I'd like to tell all of you out there do use this "faculty of wonder" given to us, don't accept things as they are question them in your mind analyse them and try to understand where it comes from. There is a whole theme in philosophy called "the pholosophy of wonder" lay your hands on books about them read and you'll be amazed with the new world you discover. They say ignorance is bliss but then knowldege is power!
Happy wondering!!!
